No game for us tonight but I`ll be keeping across the games that are going on and, like many of you, my attention will especially be on Sheffield United`s match with Burton Albion.
To me, we`re now the side that can cause anyone problems in the league and is looking to do just that, despite not really having anything to play for. It`s credit to Aitor that we`re performing so well with that being the case but for some players it probably does come down to them having a new contract to play for.
Indeed, that appears to be the deal with Danny Fox who I think has been playing out of his skin recently, though it would be nice to see more of that when he didn`t have just months left on an agreement. Let`s take a look, then, at what has been said about the defender and his situation after Paul Taylor’s latest update.

He has knuckled down because he is out of contract and AK will not stand for second best. Typical player playing for a contract. Completely wrong for me to offer him a new deal it’s about the last 4 years not 4 months #nffc

Credit to him Paul, he`s had some stick over the years but has knuckled down and shown resilience and character. Thoroughly deserved the motm award yesterday, he was excellent.

At CB with Tobias looked very solid. Seems to always raise his game at CB. A new 1 year deal and pay Tobias fee and get him signed now and add Dawson in summer that`s 4 excellent CB options with Joe also

Agree he should get 1 year deal, would be a good sub for us, If Dawson joins then we have 3 excellent full back options already!

Personally don`t rate him myself, done well last few games but he will play out of his skin till he gets that new contract.

By the way… Could be that Fox is doing so well because of Tobias F… He is in my book fantastic, just what we needed at the back, a no nonsense defender with very good skills and attitude!
