Nottingham Forest have this week taken the unusual step of extending the deadline for season ticket renewals.

Existing season ticket holders had originally been given until June 23 to renew, but the club now say supporters will be able to renew after this date.

The official club statement said. ‘We appreciate the patience that fans have shown over the last few weeks and hope that this statement of date deferral will help them realise that their concerns have not been overlooked while the process of selling the club continues.’

Clearly sales are not going well, but with so much uncertainty surrounding the club and on the back of a very disappointing season, it has to be expected. Extending the deadline does buy the club a little more time to find new owners and to then hopefully see an upsurge in renewals.
