Forest Confirm Interest In Barnes

Former Derby midfielder and Forest trainee Giles Barnes, could be offered a contract to join the Reds’ this summer, according to the official site.

The 22 year old has just been released by West Brom and could be the first signing of new manager Steve McClaren.

Barnes has been plagued by injuries since first breaking onto the scene as a 17 year old back in 2006, but has bags of talent. If he can prove his injury nightmares are behind him, then he could turn out to be the buy of the season.

Forest have also confirmed that Bill Beswick (Performance Coach), Paul Barron (Goalkeeping Coach) and Alessandro Schoenmaker (Fitness Coach) have joined the club as part of McClaren’s backroom staff.
