Norwich City’s 21 year old centre half Daniel Ayala could become the fifth signing for Sean O’Driscoll since becoming manager, if a deal can be agreed between Forest and the Canaries.

Ayala signed for Norwich last summer from Liverpool for a fee of £800,000, but found himself limited to just 10 first team starts for the Canaries, in their promotion winning campaign.

Ayala is a ball playing defender, who would fit in nicely with the type of squad O’Driscoll is trying to assemble. Several media sources are saying that the players agent has already been in talks with the Reds’ and that a deal is close to completion. Ayala was not named in the Norwich squad that travelled for their pre season game at MK Dons last night.
