Nottingham Forest top scorer, Grant Holt looks set to leave the City Ground after Forest accepted a bid for him from Bristol City.
The 25-year-old striker joined Forest from Rochdale in January but despite scoring seven goals so far this term, has fallen out of favour with manager Colin Calderwood.
Nottingham Forest’s chief executive Mark Arthur said: ‘We can confirm that Bristol City made an offer for Grant Holt.
‘We gave Grant permission to speak to them.’
Any move will have to be concluded before Thursday’s deadline day for loan deals.

strange situation..top scorer and out of favour and then being sold on to a close rival team…I guess you really want to get rid of him….
Old news.. Grant turned them down…
He is playing for the reserves tonight as well so I guess that he would have pulled out if he was on his way. Good on ya Grant, fight for your place.
If we are prepared to sell Holt does cc have his eye on signing another striker before Thursday?
TC – consipiracy theories.
if we have got rid of Holt, i dont see the point.
Why the F**k not harris!
No one else wants Harris, and who can blame them!! We’d be lucky to give him away
