Nottingham Forest put in their best performance of the season so far, but the game was abandoned at half time, due to a serious incident with Leicester’s Clive Clarke.

Forest dominated the half and could have had more than the one goal lead. They struck the bar and had a shot tipped over and had a good shout for a penalty turned down, before Junior Agogo gave them the lead with a header from a Kris Commons corner.

The football paled into insignificance when it was announced during the break that Clive Clarke had collapsed in the dressing room. Both managers came onto the pitch to make the announcement that Calderwood made, but Allen was visibly too upset to speak. All at Vital Forest wish Clarke a speedy recovery. The news after the game from radio reports, was that the player was conscious.
