Fawaz Al-Hasawi arrived late for the first league game of the season yesterday, having just jetted in from Kuwait. The new Forest owner did manage to see Adlene Guedioura’s second half goal though and was delighted to see the Reds’ kick off the season with a win, after beating Bristol City 1-0 at the City Ground.

He told the official site. “I`m really happy to be here – I came late but I saw the goal and we won the game, that`s the most important thing. This is a good start. The players are new players, they are not used to each other, but when they play more with each other Nottingham Forest will do better.”

Fawaz also said that the spree of new signings may not be over yet, with the addition of a right winger now the priority.
