While we’ve been allowed to indulge with the arrival of several new signings, the nature of the game dictates that players must depart, too. And it appears that we’re keen to offload a few young players to reduce the wage bill.
According to Nottinghamshire Live, Forest youngsters Toby Edser and Adam Crookes are on trial with Lincoln City in the hope that they can impress and secure loan deals with the Imps.
Here’s how Forest supporters responded to the news on Twitter.
Hearing both Adam Crookes & Toby Edser are playing for @LincolnCity_FC friendly against @NorwichCityFC tonight with a view to a loan move
That’s a positive move if true

Decent level to start on at their age. Did wonders for Yates and potentially grant

Verdict:
Naturally, the ultimate aim of any young player is to play regularly to continue their development. With that in mind, it’s clear to see why Edser and Crookes are eager to represent Lincoln in League 2.
Their moves would be of great benefit to us, too. By playing regularly, they will attain the invaluable experience of playing in an incredibly physical league. Also, it’s conceivable that their market value will increase with consistent first-team involvement. A win-win.
