In our latest pre-season triumph against Malaga, there were some excellent goals. Most notably, Gil Dias’ exceptional solo effort.
While much of the focus should be placed on attaining fitness and developing an understanding of Karanka’s tactics, our pre-season results have been mightily impressive – although these things are seen as somewhat insignificant.
A thumping 5-0 triumph against Lincoln Red Imps was followed by a clinical 3-0 win against Malaga. Let’s hope that the confidence and momentum attained from these victories will aid us in the forthcoming season.
One pleasing aspect of the result was the emergence of new signings, Hillal Soudani managed to get on the scoreboard. Furthermore, Gil Dias caught the eye with a terrific individual strike.

Verdict:
When we secured the signing of Dias, we were all under the impression that his arrival would be a significant coup, and the early indicators are exceedingly bright for his Forest future. It would be great if he can score goals like that week-in, week out.
