Nottingham Forest sold Arvin Appiah to Unión Deportiva Almeria in September, but the 18-year-old has struggled for playing time. He spent his first month in Spain out of the matchday squad but has recently featured from the bench. Appiah has made four appearances in all competitions for Almeria, racking up 114 minutes of football.

As per Transfermarkt, the England u19 international was left out the Rojiblancos’ squad in the 1-0 win over Malaga (September 7), 3-0 win over Las Palmas (September 14), 3-1 win over Girona (September 17), 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano (September 21) and 2-1 defeat to Cadiz (September 29) before Pedro Emanuel named him in his squad.

After being an unused substitute in the 4-2 defeat to Sporting Gijion (October 3), Appiah made his debut in Almeria’s 0-0 draw with Deportivo La Coruna (October 6), playing a full 90 minutes at the Riazor. He then played just one minute of football in their 2-2 draw with Alcorcon (October 19), 16 minutes in their 3-2 win over Extremadura (October 27) and seven minutes in the 0-0 draw with Real Oviedo (November 1).
