Quentin Vieira has joined Nottingham Forest on trial after leaving Olympique Lyonnais this summer. As per Tom Leach of Nottinghamshire Live, the 20-year-old was named in the Reds’ 25-man squad against Dundee and will look to impress new manager Sabri Lamouchi to earn himself a permanent deal.
Quentin Vieira is here on trial. Arrived at the #nffc training camp today. He's a 20-year-old defender from Olympique Lyonnais.

Had played for their under-19 and second XI sides. Is left footed and, while primarily a central defender, can also play as a left back. Was with the French club for four years but is now apparently a free agent.

Vieira, who can play at left-back and centre-back, announced his departure from Lyon on Instagram last month and would likely move straight into Forest’s u23 side if he did join as he’d have stiff competition in the Forest first-team.
The left-footed defender made three appearances in the UEFA Youth League in 2016 and featured four times for the Lyon B team in 2018/19, scoring one goal. Lamouchi, who was born in Lyon has played and managed a lot of his career in France. He could be landing a countryman as his first signing.
That being said, Lamouchi has Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo, Alexander Milosevic, Yohan Benalouane, Michael Hefele and Joe Worrall to choose from at centre-back, so Vieira would have a difficult task to work his way up the pecking order at the City Ground. Time will tell.
If Vieira impresses, he stands a good chance of being kept in the pre-season training camp and potentially signed. It’s still early days, however.
