Explained: Statistics show which Nottingham Forest player needs to be replaced in January

|

Nottingham Forest have an impressive defensive record under Sabri Lamouchi (12), but they have a problem with goals at the other end. The Reds have netted 17 goals in 13 Championship games – 1.31 goals-per-game on average. – scoring one or less goals in each of their last four outings.

Lewis Grabban has contributed 35% of Forest’s goals, but Lamouchi doesn’t have another striker to replace him with. Rafa Mir was brought in on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but he’s struggled to perform. The 22-year-old is yet to score in seven league games and only has one assist for his troubles.

As per WhoScored, Mir has racked up 137 minutes of Championship football and has only registered two shots on target. The Spaniard has created two chances and has averaged less than four passes-per-game. Mir isn’t having the desired impact from the bench and might have to be replaced in January.

Lamouchi chose to sign the Wolves striker over keeping Tyler Walker, but his decision looks foolish now. Forest could bolster their attack when the winter transfer window opens, but it’s unknown which players are on their radar.
