After being surplus to requirements at Nottingham Forest, Jorge Grant joined Lincoln City for an undisclosed fee in July and has hit the ground running with his new club. The 24-year-old made 20 appearances for the Reds, contributing only three goals, but his last outing for Forest came against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship on December 17, 2016.

Grant fell out of favour at the City Ground and embarked upon loan moves to Notts County (January 31, 2017 – May 31, 2017) (July 20, 2017 – May 31, 2018), Luton Town (July 6, 2018 – January 7, 2019) and Mansfield Town (January 14, 2019 – May 31, 2019) to get competitive football before leaving Forest permanently.

The midfielder has been outstanding for Lincoln, scoring and creating six goals in seven League One appearances. Grant has also created 15 chances (one every 40 minutes on average) whipped in 33 crosses with 24% accuracy and has a 42% dribble success rate. It’s worth noting that he’s outperforming all of his Forest teammates this season, as per WhoScored.

Should the Reds be regretting letting him go this summer?
