Without a doubt, we have experienced a thoroughly productive and entertaining transfer window, and despite securing several new signings, our transfer business may not be over. The latest rumours are linking us with a move for the Wolves and Morocco midfielder, Romain Saïss.

As the Birmingham Mail reports, we’ve been linked with a move for the Wolves midfielder, Romain Saïss. The 28-year-old featured prominently for Wolves last season as they won the Championship, securing promotion to the top-flight of English football. Despite his significant involvement last season, it appears that he could leave Molineux before the end of the month.

Romain Saïss represented Morocco in the World Cup, and his presence would greatly augment the quality of our midfield. Although another midfielder isn’t a necessity for the squad, we must seize every available opportunity to improve the quality of our team, and the arrival of Saïss would certainly strengthen our midfield while bolstering our ambitions of attaining promotion to the Premier League.

The midfielder is regarded for his versatility and his tactical adaptability, he can operate at the heart of defence if required, but the middle of the pitch is his favoured position. Moreover, he’s an excellent passer of the ball, and he’s appreciated or his ability to dominate aerial duels. While he isn’t a prolific scorer, he did contribute four goals last season, and he’s particularly good at attacking set-pieces.

Additionally, he’s valued for his defensive qualities, he flaunts tremendous blocking ability, and he doesn’t shy away from clearing the ball if required. To have a player of his experience and class in the squad would be very beneficial, and his knowledge of attaining promotion to the Premier League could be of tremendous importance to the squad. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this story develops over the coming days.
