Every word Sabri Lamouchi said about Ben Osborn leaving Nottingham Forest

|

Sabri Lamouchi recently spoke out about Ben Osborn’s future at the City Ground following Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 defeat to Olympiacos. The Reds manager admitted that he would like to keep the midfielder and had no bad words to say about Osborn’s conduct.

The 24-year-old has an uncertain future this summer. His contract has less than 12 months remaining which may force Forest to cash in on his signature. Osborn has been linked with a move to Sheffield United and could be on his way to Bramall Lane if a deal can be agreed.

As per Nottinghamshire Live, Lamouchi said: “I heard about Sheffield’s interest, but I cannot complain about his attitude. Ben is doing a great job for us in training and in the game he played well. I am happy with him. Of course I would like to see him stay.

“He likes the club and I like what I saw tonight. In three weeks here, I have only seen positives with him. The players know what I am thinking about Ben. In three weeks, it is not enough time. But I am very happy with what I have seen from him.”

Since rising through the youth ranks to the Forest first-team in 2014, Osborn has made 230 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 47 goals. The former England u20 international has been a regular at the City Ground for the best part of five years, but he may not be able to resist the lure of Premier League football.

Forest have been busy in the transfer market this summer, signing Albert Adomah and Sammy Ameobi who can both operate on the left-wing, which could offset the loss of Osborn.
