Early Exit For Impressive Forest Midfielder?

I`ve got a strange feeling that Liam Bridcutt might not be staying at the club too much longer right now.

It seems very odd to say this, too, when you look at his initial impact.

When we got him in the summer I simply could not believe Leeds were letting him go, especially without a fight or a big fee, when you consider his talent.

When he arrived, then, I was sure he`d improve our defensive game in midfield and he did, though perhaps not to the complete extent he`d or we`d have liked.

Even so, he couldn`t be to blame for the defenders or goalkeepers and their misdemeanours and I don`t think Mark Warburton`s tactics did him any favours so overall, I think he`s been a good signing for us.

Now, though, he looks up against it to get back into the side.

I`d have thought he was a player right up Aitor`s street but up to now we`ve hardly seen him play under the Spaniard for one reason or another.

Of course, there is still plenty of time for him to prove himself and I think he`d be able to if he was given the chance, but you just look at our midfield two and fail to see how they can be ousted.

The boss already seems to have his central pair cemented and where does that leave Bridcutt? I hazard a guess not with us.

Karanka has proven to be ruthless in the past with players and I see that happening with the former Leeds man, and he`s not going to stick around on the fringes.

He`s too good to be not playing and, though I`d love to see him feature more, I do worry that he`s going to be gone in the summer.

Perhaps I`m being premature, what do you think?
