Eaden was in his second loan spell with the Imps, but Forest have recalled him after a permanent deal for the defender fell through. It’s thought the reason is over his wage demands.

Although Eaden had won promotion with every club he played for, things never worked out for him at the City Ground, since his move from Norwich City in 2005.

He has however become a popular figure at Lincoln and the player himself seems to be enjoying his spell with the League 2 outfit. He will play his last game for the club against Wycombe today. Eaden told the Lincolnshire Echo, ‘The team are flying at the moment and it’s disappointing – having started this job – that might not be able to finish it, I’ll go back to Forest and see what they say, but – if I can get sorted in January – I would love to come back.’
