Took a while, but we got there in the end.
Forest moved to the top of the Championship table after an efficient second-half display saw them run out 3-2 winners away at Stoke.
Despite the host’s terrible run of form, and pressure piling on boss Nathan Jones it was they that took the lead after the ten-minute mark. Lee Gregory blasting the ball in from about seven yards out.
If we win tonight, we go top of the league, so naturally….

It took Forest a long time to get going after that, and it took a little bit of luck for them to get back into the game. Jack Butland dropping a Matty Cash cross straight into the path of Joe Lolley who sidefooted the ball into the net.
Hopefully this will change the momentum!!

There weren’t many clear cut chances for either side as the half wound down, so both sides went into the break level. Would the second half bring us more goals? This fan certainly thought so.
Just announce a super sub Adomah 72 minute winner and we’ll be alright

Well we didn’t have to wait that long for a goal after all. Less than three minutes into the second half and Forest had turned things around. Sammy Ameobi rising high to get on the end of a cross from Cash.
ITS SAMMY AMEOBI HE IS OUR ONE AND ONLY

Right on the hour mark and it was time for Forest to start turning the screw as Lewis Grabban turned in a cross from Joe Lolley to put the visitors firmly in the driving seat for the latter stages of the game.
Different gravy ????

With less than ten minutes to go, Stoke were back in the game when James McLean got on the end of a Tom Edwards free-kick, and needless to say, there were a few nerves settling in.

However, the Reds managed to hold out for victory and took the 3 points back down the A50, home to the City Ground with them.
