Forest reserves won again last night, 2-1 away at Coventry City. The stiffs are absolutely flying in the Pontins League this season and are top of the pile.

Matt Thornhill put the Reds in front with a header after 16 mins and Arron Davies made it two midway through the first half with a lovely in off the post job from the edge of the box.

City got a consolation goal at the end. The win sees the reserves unbeaten so far this seaon. Also in the side was former Celtic and Leicester player Mo Sylla, who was on trial. He set up the Davies goal.

This is not only good news for the stiffs, but the first team as well. Calderwood confirmed that if Davies came through the game unscathed, he’d get a place on the bench at least for the Tuesday night game with Oldham.
