It’s been a good week for Forest boss Billy Davies, having picked up two wins and a draw from the three games played.

Victories at Reading and Preston and the draw with the Swans yesterday, has helped put a smile on the Red faces of Nottingham again. Davies was understandably pleased with the progress his side is showing of late.

Talking to the BBC, Davies said. ‘We’ve picked up a very decent seven points from a tough week after playing Preston, Reading and now against Swansea. I am proud of the players, the performance was excellent and at least a point that was thoroughly deserved.’

Swansea boss Roberto Martinez was disappointed that his side lost out on the chance to jump into a Playoff spot and thought the Swans should have held onto their lead. ‘We scored the first goal and that is always the hardest bit and we controlled the game for long spells so to concede the goal, it feels like two points dropped rather than a point gained. We created enough chances and I’m pleased with the attitude of our players as we still went forward even after going level.’

This was a hard fought game, but at the end of the day, a draw was a fair result. It has been a good week from a Forest perspective, but the games are coming thick and fast at the moment. Next week sees us away at Watford on Tuesday and away to Playoff wannabes Burnley on Saturday. Watford will be fighting for their lives, as they are only a point better off than us in the table and Burnley will be looking to maintain their push for the Playoffs. It’s going to be another tough week for Billy and the boys. A win at Watford, would be a great boost for us.
