I don’t know what it is about Cardiff City boss Dave Jones, but he’s rapidly becoming one of the easiest blokes in football to take a dislike to and take issue with when it comes to his opinion of Nottingham Forest.

The 2-1 win at the City Ground yesterday means we’ve not only done the double on him this season, we’ve also put a severe dent in his promotion hopes for the second time. We picked up a deserved 2-0 win in Cardiff back in November, knocking the Bluebirds off top spot in the table. The 2-1 win yesterday means we took over from them in 2nd place, it also sent his Cardiff City team all the way down to 4th.

Jones’ verdict on the defeat, probably differs from that of the majority of fans at the game. Jones told WalesOnline, that in his opinion his Cardiff side didn’t deserve to lose the game. “We certainly shouldn`t have gone in at half-time 1-0 down. We started very well and after the first 20 minutes we could have been at least two goals to the good. In the end the game could have gone either way. Goals change games and perhaps we didn`t have the composure that was required to make the most of the situations we created.’

I think that Jones should take a good hard look at the DVD he will have of this game, because he will see that despite the fact that his strikers did miss a couple of guilt edged chances, he might count himself lucky to have only been beaten 2-1. Forest also had chances that they failed to convert and will feel harshly done to over the penalty decision.

Jones made himself look a bit of a hypocrite, when signing Aaron Ramsey on loan for a month. When the player snubbed Cardiff in November in favour of a month long loan move to the Reds’, Jones said
.
“The difference [between Cardiff and Forest] is that he`ll go there for a month and get fit, then you lose him again when Arsenal want him back. We`re a little bit more advanced as a squad and a club to just take a player for a month. If we took a player like that it would have to be for the rest of the season. You don`t want to get yourself into a position where you lose a player that you`ve only taken for four or five weeks.’ But that’s exactly what you have done Davey boy!

He had to backtrack on comments made after the defeat in November
, when commenting on the Seyi Olofinjana tackle that put Dexter Blackstock out of action for the season. Jones accused Davies of being a moaner, when the Forest boss voiced concerns over the tackle.
