Forest striker Simon Cox received some relatively good news today, with the results of a scan showing that he hadn’t broken any bones in his foot.

Cox was stretchered off whilst representing Eire on Tuesday night in the final minute of their 4-1 win over Oman.

He was the victim of a tough challenge and the sight of him being carried off led to fears that he may have broken his foot.

Whist the news is good for the player and the club, the official site says he’s unlikely to be available for the home game against Birmingham City at the City Ground on Saturday. Cox has scored 2 goals in his 5 appearances since signing from WBA in the summer.
