Nottingham Forest were once again left frustrated on Saturday, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Preston North End at Deepdale.
Things had started well for Sabri Lamouchi’s side when Lewis Grabban put them ahead from the penalty spot for his 20th goal of the season just five minutes in.
Preston however equalised through Jayden Stockley just ten minutes later, and with neither side able to find a winner in what followed, it is now just three wins from their last 12 games for Forest.
Even so, one positive for Forest from their trip to Deepdale was the performance of Nuno Da Costa.
In what was just his second start for the club following his January move from Strasbourg, the attacker won the penalty from which Forest opened the scoring, and proved to be a problem for the North End defence throughout the match.
Should Nuno Da Costa keep his place in the side after his performance at Preston? |
That was something that did not go unnoticed by Forest fans as they took to Twitter both during and after the match to react to their side’s performance, with many paying tribute to the progress shown by Da Costa with his contribution at Deepdale.
Here, we take a look at what some of those fans had to say.
Little bit concerned how easy Preston scored their goal with a tap in. Da Costa could be a big player for us. #nffc

Well battled point, that. Missing a bit of spark in the middle – no surprise to see us cause more issues when Silva got on – but that was a well deserved away point. Jenkinson and Da Costa superb #nffc

The more I see of Da Costa, the more I like him. Bags of talent that guy. One for next season #NFFC
