Clint Hill’s 3 month loan spell from Premiership new boys QPR, has come to an abrupt and premature end, following his recall to the London club.

Rangers boss Neil Warnock was left with no option but to recall the left back, due to the mounting injury problems at Loftus Road. Hill returned on Friday and played a full 90 mins in the 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Hill made 5 appearances for the Reds’ and whilst he may not have pulled up any trees, he more than earned his place in the side with some solid and steady displays.

His return will be seen as a huge blow for new boss Cotterill, but as he told Sky Sports News. ‘I don’t want to talk out of turn but there have been a few phone calls already. We’ll just have to wait and see.’
