Nottingham Forest may have gone 7 games since scoring, prior to the 3-1 win over Ipswich Town yesterday, but Reds’ boss Steve Cotterill says it’s been coming for a while. The win still sees us sitting 3rd from bottom in the Championship table, but Cotterill says he is delighted for the players and the fans following the win.

Cotterill told the official site. ‘I am so pleased for two sets of people, the players and the supporters. It has been painful for both and we got what we deserved today, we scored three absolutely fabulous goals today, the goals were outstanding and the build-up to them was. It has been coming for a while now and we really deserved that.’

Two goals from Marcus Tudgay and a sizzling strike from Garath McCleary sealed the points for the Reds’. We’re currently level on points with Bristol City, who play Millwall at home tonight. Forest get a rest from league action this weekend, with the visit of Leicester in the 3rd round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
