Kris Commons looks back at Forest’s game against Leicester and says why Colin Calderwood’s team deserve to be higher than they are.

‘In these days of big money and high pressure it is rare to see sportsmanship like that. There is a lot at stake and going through to the next round of the Cup ensures another nice payday.

‘Managers and players are judged on results. It’s very difficult to make real gestures of sportsmanship in the modern game. It is a shame because we all want to play the game in the right spirit. Of course you try to do the right thing, but to go that extra yard is difficult.

‘Who knows, a few more gestures like that and things could change. Having said that I’m sure the need to win and get results is always going to be top of the agenda.

‘The fact is that if you’ve come and seen our games you would know we deserve to be higher up than we are. We’ve played attractive football and we’re a very strong outfit. We just need the results to start going our way as well.’
