It now seems that the agents of Junior Agogo have gone into overdrive in their attempts to get him a move away from the City Ground. German side FC Cologne are hot on the heels of Egyptian side Zamalek, in the race to sign the Forest striker.

Agogo is expected in Cairo next weekend to tie up the deal that will take him to Zamalek as the replacement for their star man Amr Zaki, who is expected to join Premiership outfit Wigan. That deal may have hit the rocks, according to reports on our sister site at Vital Wigan.

Forest fans might prefer it if he decides to walk like an Egyptian and sign for Zamalek, as an unbelievable fee of 4.5 million Euros is what Forest are rumoured to be getting for their man.

It all sounds too good to be true and it probably is, but it helps to pass the time whilst we wait for our shiny new signings.

The interest from Cologne is a surprise and would definitely be a step up for Junior. That shows how much his stock has risen since his performances in the ACON tournament. He told Kickoff Ghana.com. ‘My representatives and the club are talking so we will see, he said. There is definitely something under discussion. I have had a wonderful year and now there are so many things going on. I just want to keep my feet down.’

It does seem that his agents are working furiously to get him a big money move somewhere. Wherever he ends up he will have the best wishes of every Forest fan if it involves anything like the 4.5 million Euros being talked about in Egypt.
