Nottingham Forest defender Luke Chambers has committed his immediate future to the City Ground and signed a deal to keep him at the club until 2011.

Chambers followed manager Colin Calderwood from Northampton and came through their academy. He’s been an ever present in the Reds’ defence since he joined us in February, 2007.

A delighted Chambers told the official site. ‘I can safely say, I’ve never been happier in my football career. I’m loving life with Forest. I believe this club has a really exciting future following our promotion and I want to be a part of that.’

Chambers is the second player in the past week to sign a new deal and follows keeper Paul Smith who has just signed a new two year deal.
