Kelvin Wilson is said to be the number one target for Scottish giants Celtic this summer, with the club ready to test Forests’ resolve with a reported £2.5m bid.

The Daily Express, says that current Hoops boss Neil Lennon sees Wilson as his number one defensive target this summer. Although the Reds’ will be unwilling to sell, a fee of £2.5m on a player who only cost us £300,000 may be too good to turn down.

Wilson was an integral part of the team last year and was one of the most improved players in the squad, following an indifferent season in the 2008/09 campaign. He’s 24 years of age and his current contract runs out at the end of the coming season.

  • £2.5m…for playing the equivalent of CCC football! Where have Celtic suddenly magic’d the money to buy Wilson, Bullard, Lawrence and pay Campbell & Ledley’s wages?
