Capital One have been the main sponsors of Nottingham Forest for the past six years, but today the official site states, that association will come to an end when this season finishes.

Club CEO Mark Arthur said. ‘We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Capital One – a relationship that we believe has been mutually beneficial to both parties. We know Capital One have not taken the decision to bring their sponsorship to an end lightly and I would like to thank them for their wonderful support.’

So the hunt is now on for a suitable sponsor. That will be a difficult task in the current economic climate. Our league status will no doubt have a major part in deciding what sort of company and how big a one gets the gig. Both Capital One and the previous sponsors Pinnacle got a poor return from their dealings with the club, at least in terms of media coverage. Both those companies were unfortunate enough to have been associated with NFFC during it’s most unsuccessful period in history. Hopefully, a new club sponsor will see an upturn in fortunes, both on the pitch and off it.
