Can The Manager Manage?

The situation is I think now dire. The manager is simply not being allowed by the money men to manage. It has been apparent all season, that we have a young inexperienced squad. On their day and when all fit they can beat, quite comfortably anyone in this league and that includes the arrogant Geordies. We could have waltzed through this league.

Quite frankly it is bloody ridiculous that we still have no left back and little cover elsewhere, what we have is not good enough. In principle the acquisitions panel is a good thing, but like any good thing it is only of any use if it works. They are failing completely, so much so I am seriously wondering if they have an alternative agenda. They asked Billy for a list. He gave them a list of 9 players, he only wanted 3. They failed. They have since asked for another list. Billy duly gave them one and Boyd apart, they have failed (again).

Nigel Doughty did, as I have posted numerous times, transfer several million pounds into Forest in Jan. You can not question his commitment. I do question others. I do question their motives. DON’T give me the old bull about not being held to ransom. They offered substantially less than a million for Pratley. Anyone reckon they stood a chance?

Now Billy should shurrup. At times his outbursts are not helpful. I though understand his frustration and that is Billy he can not help himself. At least we don’t have a ‘yes’ man in charge. I was informed that we would have three loan signings in last week. Boyd was not on the list of names. I have also been told that we will have a couple in this week, indeed one had been all but ‘done’. So far as expected diddly. Tommorow we will see, if and that is a big word IF!! we do then, better late than never. I am not holding my breath though.

Oh and to the insiders we needed those players in the Summer. Arguably we should have had them the season previously. We got lucky last summer, by getting many on the cheap. Never will any club get that amount of talent at that price again.
