Despite failing to pick up his first away points of the season, Forest manager Colin Calderwood was pleased with an improved performance from the lads.

Calderwood told the official site. ‘It was a slightly unfortunate goal for us, but the players reacted well, it is very hard to be critical of them.’

It was a harsh result for Forest and a point would have been more than just reward for their efforts on the night, but we must start winning. After a shaky start, newbie Joel Lynch settled and had a decent game. That could bode well for the future, if he adds some much needed steel to the defence.

CC thought the side was much improved was pleased with some of the individual performances. We improved as the game went on and the quality of our final ball was so much improved after we were one down. They are a side with a good home record but we didn’t look as if we would be broken easily, we didn’t deserve to lose.’

Next up for the Reds’, is Neil Warnock and his army of kickers. The game against Palace at the weekend has become all the more important, as they sit just four places above us in the table.
