Despite failing to pick up his first away points of the season, Forest manager Colin Calderwood was pleased with an improved performance from the lads.

Calderwood told the official site. ‘It was a slightly unfortunate goal for us, but the players reacted well, it is very hard to be critical of them.’

It was a harsh result for Forest and a point would have been more than just reward for their efforts on the night, but we must start winning. After a shaky start, newbie Joel Lynch settled and had a decent game. That could bode well for the future, if he adds some much needed steel to the defence.

CC thought the side was much improved was pleased with some of the individual performances. We improved as the game went on and the quality of our final ball was so much improved after we were one down. They are a side with a good home record but we didn’t look as if we would be broken easily, we didn’t deserve to lose.’

Next up for the Reds’, is Neil Warnock and his army of kickers. The game against Palace at the weekend has become all the more important, as they sit just four places above us in the table.

  • Bit of a big word from Benowl there, surprised he can spell it. More Wendies posting on here than turned up for the game last night. Very poor showing indeed. 20k, hahaha!

  • n how about the two good saves ur keeper made, the post we hit, the hat-trick of sitters burton missed n the penalty we should have had?????? selective memory eh johnny???

  • And what about the penalty we should of had? You Wendies were lucky and ya know it. You’ll soon be back down to your customary place at the bottom lads, no fear.

  • we were lucky in that we werent left to rue missed chances yea!! however if ur talkin ifs n buts n we’d have both got a pen, there were no good saves n chances had been taken it would have been a very high scorin game… which wednesday would have won!!!! but we got 3 points anyway.. ta very much!!!

  • Oh well god squad, i hope you enjoyed your trip to our place coz you won’t be back for a few more years. GOING DOWN Nottingham scrubbers
