The automatic promotion hopes of Nottingham Forest were dealt a severe blow today following the 0-0 draw with struggling Crewe.

Despite being 8 points adrift of Doncaster in second place, CC still believes his side can catch them. He told the official site. ‘We are definitely still in the chasing pack, but we have to win the next couple of games so today was not a good result for us.’

That’s stating the obvious really, but probably what fans have come to expect from Mr. Ultra positive. It was a lacklustre display from the lads, that has been the final straw for many fans, who are now calling for his head.

This was another below par performance from the players, but CC said. ‘I am satisfied with the effort from our players and the desire was there. There was never any danger of us losing.’ The problem with that statement is there was no chance of us winning either.

Calderwood now faces an uphill battle to get the fans back on side. A win against Southend on Tuesday night will be the minimum requirement, just to fend off revolt next Saturday in the home game against Walsall.
