Calderwood Reads The Riot Act

Nottingham Forest travel to an in form Carlisle tonight and will have to improve dramatically on their last trip away to get a result at Brunton Park.

The Cumbrians have not lost a home game in 14 matches and look good for their 2nd place position in the table. Last time out Forest put in a woeful performance at Doncaster to lose 1-0, but Calderwood has demanded an improvement from his players.

CC told the official site. ‘The variation in the level of performance between what we produced at Northampton and what we produced at Doncaster a week later was just too much – we should have played better and we all know that.’

That’s quite some criticism from Calderwood, who normally refrains from saying anything in public against the team. Hopefully his message gets across because they have been underperforming for too long now . A good display from the lads tonight would show that the players do infact want to play for him and that he hasn’t lost the dressing room as we the fans suspect.

He says he was disappointed with the result at Doncaster and that the performance fell below the standards he expects. He said, ‘it shouldn’t happen and it’s annoying.’

If he fails to get anything out of the game tonight, the clamour for him to step down should be too much for him to carry on. This really is his last chance as far as fans are concerned. For many it’s already too late for him to make amends.
