Forest notched up their third draw of the season on Saturday at the Memorial Ground and are still looking for their first win of the campaign.

Despite going 2-0 down and having Grant Holt sent off, Forest managed to level the game and share the points with Bristol Rovers. Calderwood believes the Reds did enough in the game to take all three points.

Calderwood told the official site .’The opportunity was there to get all three points, but we didn’t drive to get the victory in the second half the way we would have liked. There are some very disappointed players in the dressing room. It was an eventful game and I was pleased with the start. The players response before half time when we went two goals down was excellent.’

The manager was a little more guarded when asked to comment on the referee, who was equally bad for both sides. All Calderwood would say, was that he made some ‘bizarre’ decisions. Probably sensible on CC’s part in light of the way the Football League hand out fines for criticising officials.

Forest now have a two week break before they resume League duty again due to international call ups. In that time it’s hoped that the likes of Cohen, Davies and Lockwood will be back to something like full fitness. That will hopefully be the time when Forests’ season finally kicks off. That game is away to Port Vale on September 15.
