At long last it’s looking like the Reds’ might just have what it takes to start climbing up the table. The 1-1 draw against Brum continues the good work of the past few weeks, but the lack of goals has to be a concern.

Forest had enough chances in this game to have won comfortably, but a goal shy strikeforce once again failed to find the net. The equaliser for the Reds’ came from midfielder James Perch, with a header in the 52nd min. CC was rightly pleased with the performance, but knows that there is need for improvement, especially in front of goal.

CC told the official site. ‘We had chances to win it, but the important thing is that we are now giving ourselves maximum chances of winning games and that is very pleasing. There’s alot of confidence in the group of players and that is there for all to see. They gave a good response to falling a goal behind and showed alot of character throughout the game.’

Reading between the lines, it sounds as though CC is getting as brassed off as the fans with the lack of wins. All the kind words and compliments from opposing managers and fans are all well and good if you sit mid table or above, but they don’t get you any points. Forest are still second from bottom and need to start winning soon.

CC said. ‘People keep telling me this is an even division, so why should we be congratulating ourselves on just getting a point at home? I see no reason why we can’t be winning games against teams like Birmingham – and we nearly did.’
