Both Bristol City and Nottingham Forest will go into Saturday’s game on a high after picking up wins at the weekend. City once again left it late against Doncaster Rovers, waiting until the 88th minute to seal the points with a Jamie McCombe header. Forest ran out 3-0 winners against Cheltenham in a one sided game.

City boss Gary Johnson is confident his side can beat Forest saying ‘The Forest game is a great opportunity. It’ll be a sell-out crowd and it’s a game worthy of the Championship. I’m pleased we’re at home in front of our fans and a win for us will take us a long way to getting us where we want to be. Our target of 83 points would probably do it until the end of the season because we want to get promotion as early as we can.’

A win for the Robins would send them seven points clear of the Reds, but Calderwood was equally confident ahead of the game that he could get a result at Ashton Gate. “We’ve always had the same ambition and aim – nothing has changed.” he told the club’s official website.

“I’m delighted with the composure the boys have shown. Their ability has shone through in the last three games and if we can remain relaxed and not fazed about the situation, I think we will get there.

The team that handles itself intelligently between now and the end of the season will give themselves the best chance.”

Forest will take their usual healthy away following, with over 3,000 fans set to make the trip. You had better be quick if you want a ticket. As of today, there are less than 100 left.
