Vital Forest reported on Wednesday evening that Tobias Figueiredo has returned from injury ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Swansea City and supporters are delighted with the news. There has been a lot of mystery over his injury as he had setbacks in his recovery of what was originally called a ‘dead leg’.
The Nottingham Forest defender posted an injury update on his Twitter account showing him taking part in training ahead a three-month layout. His return has been a long-time coming and fans couldn’t help but express their happiness on social media.
Great for you to be training again.

There hasn’t been a lot for supporters to shout about in recent weeks, with the Reds picking up only one win in their last four league games, but Figueiredo’s comeback could be a game-changer. The 25-year-old has only been on the losing side once this season and was a rock at the back alongside Michael Dawson.
Fans are unlikely to see the Portuguese centre-back in the matchday squad against Swansea, but he should return in April when he builds up his fitness. Figueiredo’s last appearance for Forest came against Queens Park Rangers on December 22, 2018. His comeback has been three months in the making.
