Forest boss Billy Davies misses his third game in a year tomorrow, due to a viral infection.

The official site says Billy has been laid low with a virus that has forced him to miss the last 2 days of training as well as the game at Oakwell against Barnsley on Saturday.

Billy’s number 2 Ned Kelly will take charge of first team affairs and he says it wont affect their preparations for the game.

‘It’s obviously better when the main man is here but Julian, Chris and I, along with the rest of the staff, have got our instructions and we’ll things keep as normal as possible. We’ll have a conference call with the manager today, then tomorrow morning and then tomorrow lunchtime and make sure all his wishes are adhered to. We will know what he’s expecting from us as a staff, what he wants and what his ideas are and we’ll put that across to the players.’

Davies missed trips to Derby and Sheffield United last season due to illness and family problems, so it wont be the first time Ned has had to step in and take charge. Forest face a tough home game at home to ‘Boro on Tuesday night, we wish him a speedy recovery in time for that.
