OK, I think we’re on the verge of Sabri Lamouchi having to make a difficult choice here.
After his performance on Saturday against Fulham, combined with his efforts last night against Derby County, one man has started to make a case for some regular minutes, Congolese goalkeeper Brice Samba. Two cup appearances, two clean sheets, you can’t really ask for much better than that can you?
Whilst he may need to wait a little bit before becoming a regular under Lamouchi, at least he’ll be in the Forest fan’s good books when he does get round to starting. As I pointed out yesterday, he certainly is doing his best to endear himself to the fans with his efforts on social media.
Samba posted a picture from the changing room in the aftermath of the game and it certainly got some positive responses from Reds supporters who praised both his performances and his attitude.
This man could save brexit…

Best keeper we’ve had for a while. Thought you were outstanding tonight. X

Now whilst it might be a little too early to debate if he’s ‘the best keeper we’ve had in a while’, his performances should certainly give Lamouchi something to think about going forward.
