Liam Bridcutt left Nottingham Forest to join Bolton Wanderers on loan until January and appears to be making a positive impression early on. H’s featured twice for the Trotters this season and is thriving from getting regular playing time.
The 30-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at the City Ground and embarked upon a temporary move away to get first-team football. Bridcutt made his debut for Bolton against Rotherham United (September 14) while his second appearance came against Oxford United (September 17).
During the Oxford clash, supporters took to social media to praise the midfielder. It’s still early days, but Bridcutt is having the desired impact at the Macron Stadium and could put himself in the shop window when his stint is up.

Bolton are currently rock bottom of League One with -10 points from seven games. They’ve drawn two and lost five of their seven games this season. Bridcutt isn’t likely to be on the winning side many weeks up until January, but he’s currently thriving with all the first-team football.
The Scotland international is out of contract next summer, so he needs to shine at Bolton to stand a chance of a reprieve at Forest or to get the attention of a suitor.
