Julian Bennett has missed the last 8 games for Forest and has been sorely missed since tearing a hamstring in the FA Cup replay with Lincoln back in November.

Bennett had made the left wing back position his own this season and was a massive improvement from the player he was last year.

When Matty Lockwood arrived from Orient in the summer, many thought it would be curtains for Bennett, but he hasn’t let Lockwood get a look in. So much so that most fans would pick Jules ahead of the former O’s top scorer, as he has failed to live up to his reputation since his arrival.

He will take part in the reserve game against West Brom tonight in the Pontins League fixture. Also in the squad will be Paul Taylor, a trialist from Blue Square North side Vauxhall Motors.
