Julian Bennett, the Reds in form defender has had bad news regarding a scan carried out on a damaged hamstring. Bennett went off in the 3-1 FA Cup win over Lincoln.

At first it was thought that he’d just strained the muscle, but scans have revealed the damage to be worse than feared.
Forest manager Colin Calderwood told the official site: ‘The scan showed that there is a big tear. The physios will treat the symptoms because it can sometimes be deceptive.’

Bennett has been a much improved player in all aspects of his game this season. So much so that new signing Matt Lockwood found himself frozen out and unable to force his way into the side. He will be the ideal replacement for Jules, but you have to feel for him. Bennett is expected to be out until the New Year at least.
