Everyone’s fav guy Julian ‘Jules’ Bennett, could be in line for a recall to the Forest starting lineup, for the game at Elland Road on Saturday.

Prior to his substitute appearance in the 3-2 defeat at Swansea two weeks ago, Bennett hadn’t played for the Reds’ since suffering serious ligament damage in December 2008. His last appearance in a Forest shirt, was the 4-2 home defeat to Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day. That was a bad day for many reasons, not only because of Bennett’s injury, but also because it was the last game in charge for Colin Calderwood, who was subsequently sacked after the game.

Bennett began the first half of this season on loan at Crystal Palace in a bid to regain his fitness and has done remarkably well to get on a football pitch again, such was the seriousness of the injury. His chance will come if manager Billy Davies decides not to risk Joel Lynch, who has missed the last 4 games with an ankle injury. First choice left back Paul Konchesky, is definitely out of the frame, after damaging his hamstring in the Swansea defeat.
