Bale To Villa = Shorey To Forest

Aston Villa are looking to recruit Spurs defender/midfielder Gareth Bale and if he decides to join them, it could prove beneficial to the Reds’.

Forest only managed to extend the loan spell of Villa’s Nicky Shorey until the end of January, sparking fears that he will be returning to Villa Park. Martin O’Neill does not want to be without cover in the left back department, which is why the deal for Shorey is only for a month, with a 24 hour recall. If Bale decides to join the Villans, it will pave the way for Shorey to make his move to the City Ground permanent and all for the tidy sum of £1.4m.

Shorey has been a hit at the City Ground, since signing in November and is seen by many fans as an essential purchase, if we are going to make a serious push for promotion.
