Hillal Soudani posted an injury update on Twitter, showing him doing keepy-ups with a rugby ball which has some fans hopeful of a return before the end of the season. The Nottingham Forest forward tweeted a picture with a “back soon” caption in February which was positive news and could mean supporters see Soudani out on the pitch before May.
Hope your recovery is going well.

The 31-year-old joined Forest from Dinamo Zagreb last summer and has scored two goals in six Championship appearances. His last outing for Forest was against Burton Albion on October 30, 2018. At the start of the season, Soudani featured in four league games before a knee injury ruled him out for nearly two months. A setback just weeks after his recovery has kept him sidelined since.
Martin O’Neill has Lewis Grabban, Daryl Murphy and Leo Bonatini to choose from in attack, but Soudani would have been a useful option in the squad given his impressing scoring record. The Algerian striker boasted 86 goals in 196 games for Zagreb and has scored 22 times for the national team.
He’s averaged a goal every 73 minutes in the Championship for Forest and could play a part in their playoffs bid should his recovery go smoothly in the coming weeks.
