The rumour mill is gathering pace and news of the Reds in form players heading for pastures new is hotting up. Once again Tyson and Commons are being linked with a move North to Bolton and a reunion with former gaffer Gary Megson.

But don’t panic, because Forest CEO Mark Arthur has told them where to stick there money, in a move that will hopefully ease the nerves of supporters and kill any interest in the pair. Unlikely on both accounts you have to say. Arthur told the Nottingham Evening Post. ‘This is pure speculation created by agents and their like. We are looking to add to the squad during the January transfer window by making new signings, not to allow people to leave or be sold.’

Glad to hear it, as like many fans I was beginning to wonder. It could be lazy journalism, it isn’t the hardest thing to do in linking both players former boss with each other. Especially as they are having a decent season so far. It’s good to hear Arthur saying we will be looking to add to the squad. I think most fans will hold him to that statement.

If Forest are to make a serious bid for the Championship, then they will need to hang on to the likes of KC and Tyson. It would have to be a hefty fee for both, just to avoid the wrath of the fans. Personally I can’t see the club allowing them to move, but stranger things have happened.
There will be others linked before the end of January, let’s hope there’s news of some movement coming in the front door and not just out.
