Arron Davies becomes the second player from Yeovil Town to join Forest.

Nottingham Forest have hit back hard at the end of season criticisms, deservedly aimed at them, by raiding League 1 rivals Yeovil of their two best players. Arron Davies joins Chris Cohen as the fourth impressive signing Colin Calderwood has made this summer. You wait all summer for a signing, then just like playoff semi final goals, two come along at once. Davies has signed a 3 year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Forest fans will remember Davies for his performance in the two legged playoff semi final, where he systematically took the Reds defence apart and scored two goals to kill off our promotion hopes. All that will be forgiven though if he can replicate that form in a Red shirt. Davies is a striker who can also play on either wing. That should be music to the ears of any Forest fan, who have waited along time for such a player.

Arron started his career as a Southampton trainee. After a short spell on loan to Barnsley, he joined the Glovers in 2004. In May of this year he signed a new 2 year deal at the Somerset club. He is also a Welsh international. He made 115 appearances for Yeovil and scored 27 goals. He has been described as sometimes inconsistent, but if he can find the form he showed against us last season on a regular basis, then he will be a great addition to the Nottingham Forest ranks.
