Loads of Nottingham Forest fans would like to face Brentford in the Championship play-offs if they qualify for them this season.

The Reds currently sit fourth in the Championship table following their 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough, which was a huge blow in their race for automatic promotion. Sabri Lamouchi’s side are six points ahead of Bristol City, who are in seventh place and outside the play-off positions.

City Ground HQ asked on Twitter (via @CityGroundHQ) who the fans would like to meet in the race for promotion. Having beaten them twice already this season, Brentford were unanimously selected. Forest have beaten the London-based outfit 1-0 on both occasions this season, which was a big factor in their decision.

This may have come as a surprise given the defensive record of Thomas Frank’s side this season. With just 33 goals conceded all season, this is one of the best records in the Championship, with Leeds United being the only side to have conceded less, as per BBC Sport. With star strike Ollie Watkins bagging 22 goals for Frank’s team, they also have the second-best attack in the Championship.

One fan said that Brentford “aren’t all that”, while another believed it would be good to beat them again.
