Forest striker David McGoldrick has today agreed to join Championship rivals Ipswich Town on loan until May.

The out of favour Reds’ striker began the season out on loan with Coventry City and despite not being able to hit a barn door for Forest, he was banging them in for fun at City. He scored 16 goals in 22 appearances for the Sky Blues, where most people thought he would end up permanently. Clearly Coventry’s financial troubles prohibited them from doing a deal.

Less than 48 hours after returning from his loan spell at Coventry, he has penned a deal with the Tractor Boys and it’s said to be with a view of making it permanent.
